Why is the app asking us to sign in with all our log in details AFTER signing in with FINGERPRINT? I log it all in again says enable fingerprint ... Next time I log in with fingerprint same thing put all your log in again. Never used to do that just fingerprint

@Teresasue - poor design methinks. No other apps have this problem in my experience.
I've got a fairly new phone running Android14 on which the login works fine as expected.
But on an older phone I experience the same symptoms you describe 🤔
There were significant security changes in the Android OS around V10/V11, so they've probably only tested it under these newer versions ☹️Last edited by geoffers; 6 Days Ago at 18:23.

This is definitely a frustrating and unusual experience! It sounds like the app is stuck in a loop, repeatedly asking for full login details even after a successful fingerprint authentication.
I have just had a go on my E.ON Next App and it accepts my finger print authentication without needing to type in my log in details, have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app?

I have to enter login details every time as password manager doesn't save them. Using good old Android V11 and app V1.12.7235.
It's not a major problem for me, in fact it keeps the old grey matter ticking over 👴😂.
Don't use fingerprint recognition. -
Have you got this set?
In Android phones go into <settings> and look for something like this to make sure you've got it set

What's make is your phone? (I wonder if other users with the same phone have issues?)
If you Google for the problem you'll see lots of other reports of this issue.
This thread shows another user @Davy experiencing exactly the same symptoms, which got magically fixed after an app update so is clearly a problem within the app itself

I'm sure they use a list of compatible phones somewhere, since my older phone which I'm typing this on is reported as incompatible in Play Store (I had to load the app APK manually from my other phone)
<edit> BTW my older phone (which was also showing these symptoms) has miraculously now started logging in correctly, so something must have changed in the app background (not the app itself which hasn't been updated), fixing it for me </edit>Last edited by geoffers; 4 Days Ago at 08:49.
