New Tariff and Next Smart Drive

    Hi

Being disabled I always try and sign up for a good deal.

However I'm getting totally confused with Eon this new test app.

I haven't managed a test until today. I just deleted the Ohme app and then the Eon completes the test.

The only problem the tariff should be between Midnight and 7am. That option isn't in my app?

Called customer service and told I'm using the wrong app. But I'm using the app that was sent to me on the testing email (light purple called Next Connect). They say I should be using a red one and deleted next Connect.

Its so confusing because I think that is the correct app? Maybe but it doesn't give the option for overnight charging only.

@crazyfj - I'm not on this tariff so someone with more knowledge will hopefully confirm, but as far as I understand you just set the time you want your car to be ready with your selected charge level, and the app does it all for you.

It will of course use the default cheap overnight charging, but also any cheap daytime slots which become available as well. You don't need to think about it as the app selects the times automatically.

I've just looked in Google Playstore and there's a purple Next Connect app available there which looks like it may be the correct one

(N.B don't always trust what EOn C.S. say, as some of them don't seem to know what the current requirements are)

Yep, if you're on the smart tariff, use the app @geoffers has highlighted and it will do the scheduling. It will most probably do the majority 00:00-07:00 but has the option to pick other times and still charge you off-peak rate if that fits E.on's requirements better.

If you just want simplicity and the seven hours is enough for your usage, then ignore the apps completely and just have the car or wallbox do the 00:00-07:00 schedule, but then the regular drive tariff might be preferable.
