Can't post image to forum to illustrate point about random billing trick

Every time I pay eon I immediately get charged again, like straight away.

Yesterday I paid 100 then I got immediately charged
    Gas 221.68,
    then Gas 61.28
    then Gas 141.63
    then Electric 63.62.
Then I got 3 reverse charges so now I am 72.47 in credit.

Does anyone else have the same experience? There's no explanation, it's very confusing - I think to trick people into overpaying so that they are in credit. I couldn't post an image of this because the forum won't let me.

(I don't pay by Direct Debit as the last time I did that Eon took about 2k out of my account so I went overdrawn, so I was 2k in credit with Eon. Eon then took 2 months to pay me back. I of course had to pay overdraft charges, so I don't really trust them)

Good evening @BrunoMartelli what difficulties are you having to post an image? If you are using either a tablet or phone rotate to landscape and you should see a tool bar.

yes thankyou, I see all that, then I get a message "you do not have permission to access this page, your user account may not have sufficient priviledges" etc. But really this is not the real problem, the problem is Eons evasive and confusing billing practices.

    Hi @BrunoMartelli

Have you recently changed tariffs? The billing that you're describing is usually due to a change in either standing charges and/or unit prices.

    @BrunoMartelli

Without more info it is difficult to work out what is going on.

Bills are normally issued after readings are submitted manually or pulled from smart meters by Eon Next.

If no readings are taken then monthly bills will be estimated and things will only right themselves by back billing once readings are taken.

Do you have smart meters and if so are readings being taken that agree with what you see for yourself?

If you don’t have properly working smart meters do you submit monthly readings and check you are being billed in accordance with those readings?

    Or…

Are you being billed against estimated readings?

Accurate monthly readings, however they derived, help produce accurate billing.

Have you considered Variable Direct Debit where you only pay the amount of the bill and never build up a credit or debit balance that is carried forward to the next bill. Any existing credit balance would be taken into account so that your first DD payment would only be for the difference between the bill and the credit balance. If the credit balance was greater than the bill then a DD would not be taken.

Just some ideas based on what I can gather of the situation so far.
I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit.
