Couldn't live without my slow cooker. More so during the winter. πŸ˜‹

Oh I love pickled beetroot even the stuff in the jar. My Mum actually got called into school when I was little as I went through a stage where all I would eat was beetroot sandwiches, had to be brown bread too (I was a very picky child apparently πŸ˜‚) and they thought it was odd!

I am a slow cooker fan too. I would love one of the triple slow cookers where you can do 3 meals at the same time great for meal prep for the week!

And I thought I was the only person who liked beetroot sandwiches πŸ‘πŸ˜‹πŸ€—. My grandkids think it's all a bit strange but I love them.

Oooh I love this idea @Han_EONNext, thinking about more sustainable gardening ideas does anyone have any tips?

I try to reuse and recycle as much as possible in the garden. I like making planters out of random stuff...I used an old pallet to make a herb planter, there was a ye-olde metal bathtub in the back garden that we drilled holes into for drainage and use as a potato planter, I had an old vintage trunk case that I put legs on and made into a flower planter, my next goal is to make some side tables from old tryes and rope!

    Hey everyone 😁

I thought I'd ask the pro's about this rather than Google... πŸ…??????????

I have finally invested in some tomato plants πŸ˜‚ (yay for 25!) So far I have replanted them, but anything else I'm clueless!! I know you are supposed to give them a really good drink everyday - what do I do with these aliens to keep them alive and thriving ???

Water tomato plants regularly to keep the soil or compost evenly moist. Fluctuating moisture levels can cause problems with the fruit, such as splitting or blossom end rot.

Plants in containers dry out quickly, so they may need watering daily in hot weather.

    TIP:
Sink a 15cm (6in) pot into the ground alongside tomato plants and water into it, so the water goes directly down to the roots. The moisture doesn’t then sit around the neck of the plants, which can lead to rotting. πŸ…πŸ…πŸ…πŸ…πŸ‘

Feed every 10 to 14 days with high potassium liquid fertilizer once the fruits show.

Are they bush or cordon toms? If cordon (ie up a cane) side shoots need to be removed regularly.

Aye. A capful of Tomorite in the watering can every couple of weeks until the flowers set and the fruit begins to appear, then weekly after that πŸ‘

My two great-nephews have given me a tomato plant they've grown from seed, so the tips you've given are great. The flowers are just starting to form, so I've got some Tomorite ready to feed it.πŸ…πŸ‘
