The average customer not on DD pays £215 more per year. Cancelling your DD is akin to lunacy when the DD is so low
Current Eon Next and EDF customer, ex Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless.
@Beck Anasa here 👋 We won't pocket the money! The money is yours from the government for your energy bills it will be taken off your Direct Debit or left as a credit on your account, we're just in the process of updating this to reflect in the actual pay history which should be by the end of the week, a lot of customers will have noticed a reduction but not seen how that has been credited 😊
Everyone should have received their top up of £66 by the end of today (3rd working day). What are EON playing at, breaking government guidelines. Oh dear.
Can an EON Next representative explain when pre-payment or smart pre-payment customers will be credited £66.
The first post in this thread says it will be in the first week for prepayment meters. It is the very first payment of a brand new scheme so I’m afraid some patience is needed.
Also please see my follow-up post later in the thread for more info on payment times.

Reason: Added last bit.
For smart prepayment the time scale is 5 working days. For traditional prepayment the vouchers should be received within 11 working days. The supplier needs to issue funds to the voucher providers within 3 days.
That’s as I read it but I typed that from memory. See section 5.39 and 5.48 in the government document in the link…
@GSimpson Good question! I don't see why not.. I know I'm a smart Pay as you go so mine went straight onto the electric but I'd imagine that with a voucher you can choose to split it, it's an excellent question, leave it with me and I'll get back to you and pop out a post as I'm sure there will be others with the same questions 😊
Edit...
I've clarified this and you can split the voucher and anyone on Smart Pay you go if you have a duel fuel account it will be split 50/50 automatically @GSimpson 🙂
@Anasa_EONNext
My variable direct debit was taken on Monday 3/10/22, at the full amount with no sign of any £66 deduction. I've just checked my electricity account, and there is no credit of £66 either. Can you tell me when I am likely to receive it?
@Tommysgirl
The problem is that various E.on staff do not fully understand how the £67 deduction actually works. Different members of staff will tell you different tales.
