The money is in the suppliers bank whether they credit it to our accounts or not. But we’ll get less queries on the forum if they credit it quickly. I’m starting to suspect @JoeSoap is on a piece work rate for his replies here.🤣
Well, at least we agree on the first sentence.
I wish I was on piece work. If I was I would be aiming to beat your amount of posts 😁
I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit.
@JoeSoap
surely you agree with the second sentence too?
Current Eon Next and EDF customer, ex Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless.
My dd is due on the 1st of the month. As it was a weekend it actually was collected on Mon the 3rd thankfully less £67 . As yet the credit to my account of the same amount hasn't materialised. As normal though my online account is saying the payment has not yet been applied. Am I being over optimistic to expect that the £67 credit will appear at the same time the payment is actually applied?
@Anasa_EONNext Why do I have a pending payment of £66 due to be taken from my account tomorrow and then a payment of £102.90 due to be taken on the 6th. I thought the £66 was to be paid by the Government.
Perhaps you are optimistic, but that is how it should actually work. It will probably work correctly in March 2023 when the discounts end! Will another sticking plaster replace this one then?
Which forum is that then! It's clearly not this one -which was abandoned when in great need. How does that song go? "When the going gets tough, the tough get going"
So I noticed that there has been a lot of questions around the Governments £400 energy subsidy and a lot of talk on how it will be applied and what it means to your payments.
Direct Debit customers...
The deduction will be from your Direct Debit so for example if we normally take 200.00 from you each month, with the energy scheme we will only take 134.00 (66.00 reduction). The 66.00 will be applied to your account which will bring it back to 200.00 for you.
If you have a prepayment meter...
The payment of £66 and then £67 will be applied in the first week of each month, this will go directly onto your meter if you have a Smart pay as you go or you'll be given vouchers to top up if you have a standard key meter.
I hope that this makes it a little easier to understand!
Have a great day ahead😊
What about customers who pay by variable direct debit. How will we receive the £67.?

I know where you’re coming from as I ploughed through it with you. I did give up for several hours and went to the pub instead mind you.
The thing is though, the staff on here are employees and not the top bods of Eon Next. They must have been overwhelmed with emails and private messages. Add some sickness absence and I guess it wasn’t a bed of roses for them either.
I’m just adding a bit of balance and it’s nothing to do with goody bags being dished out on Friday… Honest 🤥🤔😂
Top brownie points for trying to defend the indefensible.
But the forum can be seen by many members simultaneously and saves calls to customers services. Instead, they withdrew support here to support other communication channels, which can only satisfy (sic) one customer at a time. That is so illogical - it beggars belief.
I fully agree that those in customer services were thrown under a bus by the incompetence shown by management. I've been impressed by posters here saying how nice the people that they eventually spoke to were. We'll be banging saucepans for them next Thursday then?
