@geoffers what does the Bright app actually show? I see a lot of our community members mention they use it and I see you speaking about it a lot but I've never actually really looked into it to see what's on there?!
How do you link it up to your system?
Bright (Glowmarkt/Hildebrand) are a third party company who are authorised to access your meters via the DCC, and also are suppliers of the Glow CAD/IHD amongst other things.
The Bright app provides much the same information as the EOn app currently does, but with more features and functionality (and for a long time was far superior to EOn app which took a long time to reach it's current state of development)
Bright, in conjunction with the Glow CAD also allows you too view real time (ie 10sec updated) meter usage in the app, rather than the previous day's (or in EOn's case 2 days previously) usage.
Having registered with Bright you can download all your historic meter readings starting from 13 months prior to your first registration with them (the meter itself stores 13mths of ½ hourly readings)

Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and think the smart meter programme is a waste of our money. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless.

@DebF_EONNext....
Plus, I should have added once you're registered with Bright you have access to the Glow API / MQQT (with 10sec realtime readings if you also have the Glow CAD) should you want to access your meter's data programmatically, or incorporate it into Home Assistant for instance for a fully automated home
@meldrewreborn this is interesting my suppliers app is pretty basic it's just really a shell you can add a meter reading, see your tariff and your statements and that's about it! I might give this a try 😊
It's great that you can see all of your data that far back @geoffers I changed suppliers and I don't have all of my previous bills anymore so it will be good to see how last winter compares to this!

@DebF_EONNext - If you hadn't spotted it, I posted this on another thread...
I can actually see ½ hourly readings going back to July 2022 when I was still with BG... (I didn't start with EOn Next Drive until July 2023)
The meters themselves apparently store around 13months of historic data, so I reckon that having registered with Bright : Glowmarkt themselves must retain your data from the 13months prior to that joining date (otherwise I'd only be seeing 13 mths of data starting from around March 2024 until now)
Bright displays data and isn’t supplier dependent or supported. Therefore it doesn’t facilitate account access, it just displays data as received from the meter(s).
I would prefer that is allowed gas consumption data by volume to be accessed, but I doubt they’ll change that.

To what end? They sell it by the kWh.
Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.
