I would like to know the cost of having my provider remove the gas meter and cap the gas line at the property.
I have no need for gas and so would like the gas standing charge stopping.
Hi. I was in touch with customer service who were very helpful. Having not used gas in over a year happy to wipe gas standing charge on a month by month basis going forward provided I send manual reads to them.

you can also apply just to have the standing charge removed if your consumption is always zero. Speak to customer services to see what is possible.
if you have smart meter the supplier should be able to readily confirm zero usage going forward.
