This is the 4th and final part on how to read your export meter 😁

The final 2 meters we have are EDMI and Honeywell.

Let's take a look at EDMI. There are 3 different models but all use the same steps to locate the export reading.

  • Press any button to wake the meter. The screen will automatically cycle through 3 screens, with export value being one of them. Or you can use either button to scroll around to this screen.


Honeywell

Honeywell Elster AS300P (SMETS1) 👇


  1. Press and hold the grey middle button until the main menu loads up
  2. ‘General’ should appear on-screen
  3. Press and hold the middle button again to select this option
  4. ‘Time & Date’ should be visible
  5. Scroll with the bottom button until you see ‘TOU Registers’
  6. Press and hold the middle button once more will hovering over ‘TOU Registers’ and you should now see ‘Cum. Exp.’ with a value underneath it


Honeywell/Elster AS300P 👇


  1. Press the centre button to access the menu.
  2. Select ‘General’ using the middle button.
  3. Scroll to ‘Total Registers’ using the lower button and select using the middle button
  4. Scroll to ‘Total Registers’ using the lower button and select using the middle button.


Honeywell AS302P - The AS302P SMETS2 👇

This meter has 2 buttons.


  1. Press the A button once to bring up the menu. The display should light up. It should show "General".
  2. Press the B button. This scrolls down the display. Press it a couple of times until it says "Registers". If you go past it, press it again and again until Registers scrolls back into view.
  3. Press the A button to enter the Registers menu. It should show the word "Cumulative".
  4. Press the A button to enter the Cumulative menu. It should show your "Import".
  5. Press the B button once to scroll down. This should show you your "Export". This "Cum. Exp." figure is what you give to your energy provider when they ask for your solar export readings.
