I phoned up told the specialist that my statement said the cheapest tariff for my electricity was reward v2, and could I switch just the electricity to that, and hey presto that’s what I have. I noted your ambition to do similar so I pointed out that I had succeeded.
For years I’d had my gas / electric with different suppliers, avoiding dual fuel tariffs, I felt I got better deals that way, and I avoided potential clashes on the accounting side. I only brought the gas here in the last year from EDF because I couldn’t get the deal I wanted there. I’m a heat fan of fixed tariffs that you can escape from by staying on another tariff.
good luck and give it a try!
Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless.
Be still my beating heart!!! I never ever thought this day would happen, welcome to the new world @meldrewreborn 😅 While you get to grips with the IHD it would be awesome if you could give us a new thread on your experience with it I think we would all be eager to hear your thoughts!
yes I’ll post, but doing the Christmas cards today, as we’ve had two so far without reply. It does mean updating the address book with births marriages deaths and moves, so a bit of admin as well.
It's great to hear you now have your smart meter installed @meldrewreborn 😁 The in home display is super handy, especially if you like to track your real time usage!
I'm happy to hear you got on to the tariff which was quoted to you on your statement, and you're right, if it's quoted on the statement it should at least be valid for a short period after. We will absolutely feed this back 🙂

Just to be clear - it was available to me when i called up, but it wasn't visible to me in my online account, so I couldn't even see the tariff prices.

@meldrewreborn - brilliant: thanks for your advice 👍
Couldn't have been simpler - very helpful chap on the phone. He went through all the blurb he had to do to make the quote for changing Drive V3 to V5 for electric only, then stayed on the line while he sent the quote eMail to which I replied and the deed was done 😁
