The year 2000, the start of the 21st century, I would have been 4 years old 😅 but I still remember my Adidas popper pants which held my portable CD player and butterfly clips (which i'm still partial to) 😂

Love this @HelenaP_EONNext Well in 2000 at 19 I was definitely loving my platform shoes and chunky trainers! And really teeny handbags! Had my first mobile phone a Nokia that didnt cost the earth to make a call like the Philips phone before it! My latest polyphonic ring tone was Eminem 'Will the real slim shady please stand up'
Millennium Wheel getting built and a lot of unhappy people not liking the eyesore! It was meant to be temporary but still standing lol! ' And now is the very loved London eye!

@Anasa_EONNext That's brilliant! I still have my original Nokia that I use for festivals due to the battery life! 😂 I remember first seeing 'Without me' by Eminem on TV at 6 years old and loving it!
it was when all the computers actually still worked because all the efforts to defeat the Y2K problem had succeeded. Or perhaps there never had been problem. I remember the appalling government inspired events at the Millennium Dome but the exuberant fireworks from domestic premises at midnight were fantastic. Things were looking up for most people and Gordon Brown was claiming to have abolished boom and bust, well he got the first part right.
as the kids were leaving home our finances improved dramatically, there’s something for the younger folks to look forward to to.
I had a portable mini disk player/recorder, the Walkman was old hat. Mini disks though were replaced by MP3 players and then by phones.
VCRs were all the rage and Premier League football was still only 8 years old. But I was still working back then, the joys of retirement just a dream.

From that time I remember blow up furniture, butterfly hair clips, combat trousers and skirts over trousers 😂 What a time to be alive! Remember you had to pay to change your ringtone and EVRYONE spent hours playing snake 🐍📱
@meldrewreborn we came down from Scotland to visit the millennium dome on a school trip all I remember was an exhibition where the escalator took you up inside the human body and then some weird acrobatic show in the center of the dome it was very bizarre! I have been since and it feels like quite a normal place now 😆
