I am trying to reply to a thread yet it just tells me that something went wrong. The thread ishttps://community.eonnext.com/threads/9874-E-On-Next-App-not-installing/ and I am having the same issue. The app will not update, after trying a few times, I also uninstalled the app but now cannot install it.
Morning @Sazpage You are definitely not alone. There are issues with both the forum and app which Eon Next are aware of and are working on at the moment.
I have the app but since all these updates, my smart meter screen I plug in wont connect.
Not a massive issue as I can now at least see the bill etc in the app. Thanks for reaching out.
...If it's the Next drive tariff you're on then the in home display unit won't be compatible.
@Indyk_EONNext afraid that statement is not 100% correct (for all Drive users) - I'm on Next Drive and my IHD does show the change from standard rate to the cheap EV rate in the early morning, plus the usage cost are almost correct
However the ToU timings which have been uploaded to the meter by EOn are from 00:30 to 07:30 rather than midnight to 07:00 (which is the Drive tariff billing ToU)
Also since the times on the meter are held in UTC time, the tariff change is currently showing at 01:30 to 08:30 BST on the meter/IHD, so to that extent you are correct that the IHD details won't actually matching the billing
