Not sure I understand the question, but assuming you mean that £40 of credit is used in 4 days, then it does seem on the high side for this time of year.
if this is a prepayment meter then it might have previous debt being recovered, but outside my knowledge.
Can you see meter readings - how much does it go up by in 24 hours?
There are so many variables to consider, but £40 in 4 days is quite high. You need to tell us more for us to comment in more detail.
if you have occupied a property recently, have taken over the previous occupants prepayment key, then the recovery of their debt from you is probable as a cause, as @rwh202 has commented. Otherwise we need more from you.

@Ramona88 - maybe download the EOn app, then you'll be able to view your daily usage in kWh (actual electricity used) and also the cost of that electricity.
You can calculate the actual cost yourself by multiplying the kWh by your tariff rate to give you the amount you should have been charged.
