My direct debit usually leaves my bank account around the 1st or 2nd of the month. It's the 6th today, and it's still not been taken and not even showing as a "pending" payment on my banking app. I'm in credit on my energy account by just over £30. My e-on account says the next payment is due on 3rd March. I really don't want my energy account going into the red because the DD wasn't taken in February! What's going on???
It could be just a slight administrative delay with the 1st and 2nd of February being weekend days, and not 'working days', or as @meldrewreborn says, an administrative glitch somewhere, which will be sorted eventually. If the DD doesn't appear by early next week, contact Customer Services.
I’m sure it’s nothing to worry about. If the DD hasn’t been taken there is probably an administrative glitch somewhere which will be sorted eventually. If the supplier hasn’t taken the DD it’s not you fault is it, unless somehow your DD details in you online account have been altered without you knowledge - which is highly unlikely.
Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and think the smart meter programme is a waste of our money. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless.
Hi Courtney - no, the direct debit just didn't happen. I called E-on and the chap I spoke to said for some reason it had been dropped from the DD schedule at their end. He couldn't explain why, as the month before had gone out ok and he could see the schedule from March onwards. So I had to make the missing payment over the phone using my credit card - not ideal, and I'm not particularly happy that E-on dropped a DD payment and nobody knows why. Especially as it now means I can't trust the direct debits to be taken properly in future.
I am sorry to hear you have been experiencing issues with your direct debit payments and I am just checking in to see if your payment for March has been taken or requested?
If there are any more issues please let me know and I can surely take a look 😊
