Just to clarify so not to confuse if anyone comes across this thread. I realise it is an older thread so I just want to make sure all info is accurate and up to date. Warm home discount is only applied to the electricity account, we do not apply this to a gas account. We are unable to transfer credit between gas and electricity with prepayment accounts.

By default it's usually electric but you can request to have it applied to the gas meter instead if you prefer. In fact, you might even be able to use the voucher directly on the gas card - let the shop assistant know when you present the voucher and they can attempt it for you.
If that doesn't work, please use the voucher on your electric key instead, transfer the credit to the electric meter and then request a credit transfer. In some cases, it's possible to have credit drained from your electric meter and moved to your gas meter on request.
