According to the screenshot the charges have reduced your large credit balance to what is still a large credit balance. I think @meldrewreborn was seeking some correspondence that clarifies why you are in huge debt. There is no mention of debit. Perhaps you have something pertaining to the charges levied on 4th March.

I just have had a call with EON Next, and they have told me that there is something wrong with my account and have to review. They have requested pictures of the meter readings to review. In three working days I should have an update.

I'm trying to reconcile your statement that you've been suddenly charged £15,000 for unbilled past periods, with the screenshot you posted. Perhaps there is some misreporting of the amount and some commas and or decimal points missing.

But its possible that you have been paying by Direct Debit, that money has been credited to your account and a large credit has built up as they have not been charging you for the energy you have consumed. Now they've decided to back bill that, which would be OK so long as they are not billing back more than 12 months. So from your screen shot they've billed on 29th February 2024 for energy consumed from 1 Jan 2023 to 28th Feb 2023 which by law they're not allowed to do. In a way you have been lucky as you have probably got 2 months energy free.!

Hi. I am sorry to say that EON Next has do nothing yet to fix this error. I sent the latest meter reading as requested, and after 3 working days, nothing has happened. Also, EON Next customer service is not replying to my emails (I only received one, and it was related to how to pay such crazy amount... seriously??!!)

Only 21 days remain till next direct debit payment, so I think I should cancel it to avoid EON Next steal my money (they want I pay £966 per month). Is this a good idea? Should also I start the process to move to another company?

To be honest, I am very disappointed with EON Next customer service and this matter is starting to affect my mental and physical health (I am struggling to sleep due to this, for example).

Thanks all for your help and support. Any advice is welcome.

Thanks all for your help and support.

Also, today I have received an email from EON Next with the estimated annual costs. According to this screenshot, how it is possible they charge me with more than £15,000?!

I wouldn't rush to cancel your DD as this means you will lose your DD discount. You have a good couple of weeks before you have to consider this as an option. You posted four days ago that you should have a reply in three working days so I would give it until at least tomorrow to account for the two day weekend before chasing things.

@jcamposgranado hi Mate, any luck on this matter? i have been randomly charged £5000+ this month for just electric which is crazy. I had an eon next employee go through all my transations in april 2023 and had the balance at £0. Since then i have been clearing the balance monthly for whatever they charge me.

my units have only gone up 600 in the last 3 months which is roughly £240 at my current tarriff....

i have been at this property for 4 years also, this is rediculous. The support team havnt been helpful at all!

All i keep being told is that the "smart team" is looking into it
