Ok next question how often do you make a payment to Eon Next? Every month or every 3 months? POBR (Payment on Receipt of Bill) or via DD?

The next thing I would do is have a look at your online account and hunt out all the statements referenced in that 4th section and get them downloaded as they may reveal what is going on with your electricity account - they should show you exactly how Eon Next arrived at the numbers in these reversed charges and might make things a little clearer for us all. It is odd that some months had multiple statements on the 11th of each month (eg April 2023) which makes me wonder if you have some complex metering arrangements (Economy 7 etc) and/or whether you had a new meter put in earlier in 2023 and somehow Eon Next thought that 2 meters were still active (one old meter and the new smart).

Well, I’ve just calculated your bill from 10 Aug to 10 Sep and it came to £64.12 which is exactly your reverse charge for the same period. Looks to me like you were refunded everything you were charged for that period.

I’m doing this all on a mobile phone so switching between forum and calculator, which is awkward, so I won’t check any of the other reverse charge periods. However, if you do the same calculations for what you were charged for each of the other periods in the reverse charges, I’m wondering if you’ll find you have somehow been refunded everything you were billed in the first place.

I have no idea why this might be. Have you checked your current actual meter reading to see if the smart reading on 26 Sep of 3692.3 looks realistic?

Edit... I have just checked the figures for 11 May to 10 June and arrived at a charge of £87.11 ex VAT. This closely matches the reverse charge of £87.12 for 11 June 23.

It really looks to me that you are being refunded all of your charges. Baffling.

@Mailman I pay monthly by DD. The Smart Meter was new as the flat a first tenancy in Jan 2023 and the meter was preinstalled by the landlord. But I don't think the meter is at fault.
@JoeSoap Yes, the Smart meter readings look OK, and massive thanks for doing those calculations. So E.ON want's to refund all of my charges - baffling indeed but now I know that E.ON's accounting is the problem, and I will likely receive a reversal of all the repayments soon 🙄

In other news, I received a bill today for the period Jan-Apr 1. 2023 (the period before the above refunding issue) in which I was charged again for the whole period. I have already paid these sums and can prove it. I truly despair at the incompetence of E.ON accountancy. It puts massive pressure on customers to understand what's going on. Thank goodness for you guys!

I cant see any reason why you would have been banned without warning? I cant see anything in your posts that would warrant a ban, also we don't just ban people we would discuss the guidelines and go from there.

Ah, I didn't notice the different spelling of your forum name. That would explain my puzzlement at you being able to give yourself a thumbs up in one of your posts. I see Lee is looking into this ban which must surely be an error. I re-read your posts and you have been nothing but mildly critical of Eon accountancy. I've read much worse criticism on here. Hopefully it will be sorted soon as we would like to be kept updated about these reverse charges on your account.

100% an error and my fault, we had some dodgy emails being used for registration and ive clearly copied the wrong email 🤦‍♂️ both @Jasmin2000 $ @Jamsin2000 are not on any ban list whatsoever.

Just going to catch up on the rest to see if there is anything I can do here.
