Death account holder

My father has died and my mother needs to notify eon next. What will happen? Will they close dads account and set up a new one for mum. Will it be in the same tariff. Dad was disabled and mum had hospital equipment and the heating on more than a normal household. Yearly she was spending £2800 a year. That’s going down now as I’ve checked her usage this last month. She doesn’t want to end up in a worse tariff

    Good morning @Suz4nn3 😊

We're really sorry to hear of your Dads passing, we wish you and your family all the best at this time 💐
So the best thing to do first of all is get in touch with a member of our team, you can do this by telephone (0808 501 5200) Mon-Fri 9-5, or by Social Media such as Facebook, Twitter or Instagram which is open 24 hours a day.

If you chat through things with our Energy Specialists they will be able to do what is best for you. What would usually happen in this case is that the account ran by your dad will be closed and a new one for your mother; including the tariff will be will be transferred over.

    Take Care,
