Problems still ongoing, Ivie are absolutely adamant that they are being caused by lack of data from meters, this attachment is for Indyk, if I can get it to attach, couldn't in a private message.

    @superdave - Your earlier posting...
...I had ordered an ivieBud, which I received 12/06/25, absolute nightmare trying to get this thing working, got it connected to my wi fi and eventually activated however, like the BG IHD, it will not connect to the meters, it just constantly reboots itself...
    and this one...
...The Ivie app is still reporting "We're having trouble getting your smart meter data", this was mentioned to Ivie customer care but they made no comment, absolutely nothing constructive from them...
... sounds very similar to someone posting on the Glowmarkt forum.

    • He initially had the Bright app, which was showing his (delayed) meter readings - sourced via the DCC
    • He then got a Glow IHD/CAD and registered this via WiFi with Glowmarkt, connecting to the Glow cloud servers
    • The Bright app now should get/display the near real-time 10sec readings
      • it will pick these from the cloud (not via the DCC) ,
      • they should have been read via the HAN and uploaded via wifi/internet
    • However the Bright app is no longer showing any readings.
      • this clearly is because his IHD/CAD won't connect to his meter/HAN
      • so the cloud data doesn't get populated and the app displays nothingness.
    Another Catch-22 situation: sounds similar?🤔

Ref the Bright app, because the Ivie app doesn't show anything at all and the fact that I was just grateful that at least the Bright app was displaying some data, I failed to notice that it wasn't displaying any gas readings, I have given myself a severe slap on the wrist.

Unfortunately it certainly looks likely that Eon have been giving me incorrect info based upon some readings they have dated 29/05/25, I have a very lengthy email from Ivie illustrating their findings, extracts of which I've passed on to Indyk.

Hopefully Eon will look more fully into the matter and ensure a speedy resolution

@superdave. Are you able to take readings from the gas meter directly? That information should help to substantially sort out any billing issues. If the meter is dead, and cannot display a reading then urgent replacement is vital.

just to be clear bright data gives half hourly consumption data (obviously computed from readings!) but not the readings themselves. To work out a current reading using bright data you need a past reading and then add the totality of the half hourly readings since. Easier to take a current reading from the meter, as in your case the normal option of getting a reading from the IHD is not possible.

Good afternoon, yes I can get readings from both meters directly, I'm not too concerned about billing issues to be honest, unfortunately when I find something which should be working and it isn't, it grinds my gears.

I'm just like you, with not being satisfied and needing answers when things aren't right

You wouldn't believe how different the data being captured from the meters via different sources currently is. It's been pretty stable up until the last few days, so I'm sure there's currently some kind of issue:

<edit>Just checked (Thur morning) and Bright now seems to be correct - same as EOn & Ivie Mon/Tue/Wed(last few hours missing) with EOn still missing most of Wednesday</edit>

Looking at the data from Bright, Iv<edit>ie & EOn shows these dissimilarities...

Bright is missing values at midnight on Tuesday & Wednesday, and missing a lot of daytime values too

EOn have readings for Monday and part of Tuesday (but this doesn't look like Bright's partial Tuesday) and nothing yet for Wednesday (today)

Ivie have all of Monday & Tuesday's complete readings but nothing yet for Wednesday (today)
    • Monday's look identical to EOn's
    • Tuesday's looks nothing like EOn's, but similar to Bright's partial readings with the missing gaps filled
    • Ivie present the off-peak times, based on the incorrect tariff timings EOn have uploaded to the meter

Doesn't give much confidence to the way they are gathering and processing the data: I wish there was a way we could access the meter data directly, rather than having to go through 3rd parties who clearly screw it up on the way

That's one of the main reasons I'm after a Glow CAD, so pulling the near real-time data directly from the meter hopefully Glow don't mess it up when they give you access via their API
