@BruceM I had exactly the same issue - even to the extent that someone in CS didn't understand what calendar month billing meant!
However, I'm pleased to say that it was resolved in the end and I am now billed as I want it to be.
Why EON is so focussed on payment date rather that billing date totally escapes me.
It really should not have been that difficult.

Next Drive Fixed V6. Love Smart Meters but don’t trust them enough to stop me downloading DCC 30 minute data via Glowmarkt and comparing with EON billing. EON spot on so far 😄
i wanted reading date to be fixed, which happened OK. Billing is a bit irrelevant as I’m on fixed Direct Debit, and that is fairly fixed too.
