Hi

Do Eon actually do an Economy 10 tariff anymore? I can't see one on their website, only Economy 7 and when I have rung up about it nobody seems to know anything about it.

The reason I ask is that my meter controls the power to my heating and hot water (its all very old) and we get 10 hours "night" power. The meter was changed in October as it was faulty and the nice Eon engineer managed to find an non smart and non RTS meter.

He did say, however, that for a smart meter to work with the 10hrs to switch on the power to the heating and hot water, that I would need to get on an Economy 10 tariff so the smart meter knew when to switch on and off. Is that correct?

To be honest, I'm very reticent to go down that route unless the meter breaks as the first Eon engineer that turned up said all he could do was put a smart meter in that would leave the power on the the heating and hot water permanently !!!!
