Hi,
My current tariff is Next Drive Fixed V3. Rate 1 applies from 07:00 to 00:00, and Rate 2 is from 00:00 to 07:00. However, when I checked my electric meter, I was surprised to find that the meter doesn’t display Rate 2.
Additionally, I don’t have any information about BST (British Summer Time) or BWT (British Winter Time).
I contacted E.ON support and was informed that they calculate usage from raw data. This seems concerning, as it makes it difficult for me to monitor my usage.
Obviously you have a single rate smart meter which is configured to send half-hourly reads which is what E.On Next use to calculate your billing.
You could download the Bright app which will give you the information you require.
Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.
@KasiaJ Just to add to what @retrotecchie said above, the meter stores it's ½ hourly readings in UTC time (ie GMT) so in summertime EOn apply the one hour offset for BST when calculating your bill
I'm in the same situation on drive V3 with a single rate meter, so the only way to get your true energy usage costs is by using the Bright app
Welcome to our Eon Next community, I am Indy one of the Community Co ordinators! Just checking in to see how you got on with your query and if you needed any more assistance?
As @retrotecchie and @geoffers have said, as your on the Next drive your smart meters are configured to send us half hourly data which we use when billing on the Next drive.
If you have any concerns or questions please feel free to reach out. 😊
