I had the opposite this month - no electricity, just gas... The electricity appeared a couple of days later on a separate bill
Yes, the 'gas bill' statement arrived today. The software must stumble over billing dates to produce two separate statements like that. Thanks for the heads up reply!

Hey @ACBrown welcome to the community 👋 When it's gas there can occasionally be a delay if we haven't had the calorific value figure in from the industry for the day.
This can sometimes be delayed over the weekend or when we have bank holidays etc. If we are waiting for the calorific values you may see something saying provisional charges on your online account. This basically means we've provisionally billed your account but we are still waiting for more information to bill accurately before we release it.

That sounds feasible, but doesn't explain why my bill this month was just for gas (see post above ⤴️), with the electric statement coming a couple of days later
Maybe you were waiting for the calorific value of the electricity? 🤣
@geoffers no you're right that doesn't explain it, you have a smart meter don't you? I wonder if we missed a snapshot so it was late coming through or if it maybe had to be manually released 🤔

Yep: I'm on the next drive tariff, so you're taking my readings on ½ hourly basis
I had the same issue, just electricity on the bill and no gas. It wasn't because they were waiting for the calorific value because I checked my account and there was no provisional charge. The cause was in fact that no gas meter reading had been pulled, it's the first time that I've had a failure to take a meter reading.
I've been having ongoing issues with smart readings not being pulled for gas for almost two years, and the same problem with electricity readings since April, and my next door neighbour has exactly the same issues. I have reported it to Eon Next several times, most recently in June. The 'energy specialist' I spoke to in June assured me there was nothing wrong, and that smart readings would be taken in July. There were no smart readings pulled in July or August, so I'm still having to send manual readings in. A glimmer of hope this morning, however. When I logged into my account, and did the 'Account Health Check', it says they're having trouble connecting with my meters, and to send manual readings in until they resolve it. I'm not expecting them to resolve it very quickly though. It's a comms problem which is happening to lots of customers with most, if not all energy companies.
