I have been having an online conversation regarding EV rates post April 1st. I have been informed that rates are staying the same as those in place since January 2024. With energy rates falling by approx 14% I am not convinced I have been given correct info. My meter still shows 10p for night rate and 41.46 for day rate. Can someone please confirm what I have been told. Many thanks
According to the link below the Next Drive tariff is fixed for twelve months so if you’re currently in one of these contracts then the rates you agreed to when you signed up to it will stay the same until it ends. You should have T&Cs to refer to.
I'd suggest logging into your account and checking the tariff rates there, they'll be what you're actually being billed against rather than what your meter/IHD is displaying. If your account still shows those rates then I would seriously consider changing tariffs as that day rate is high. My E7 tariff is 9.45p Night and 30.38p Day.
Check your previous bills and work out your annual usage, depending upon your general day use that EV tariff may not be the most cost effective. I find it interesting that in the link kindly supplied by @JoeSoap, the Day Rate isn't mentioned - my first thought is that it probably isn't very good.
