I check through them and just save them in case they are needed for anything in the future, but that's very rare. I've read my meters myself every month for years and record my usage etc in a spreadsheet, so from a personal point of view I don't really need the bills.
I'd rather have a copy of them than not, I don't think that I'll ever get used to relying on the cloud/others to store something that I might need.
Am I alone? Every time I put in a reading, I get a .pdf statement by email. I very rarely go into my account to check anything - perhaps only to scan the so called "offers" or to reset my direct debit. I think improvements will be tweaking at the edges. Was anyone else part of the testing team with Mike Thorn a while back?
Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless.
I get the same, a pdf by email every month just after they've pulled my smart meter readings. My meter readings are taken on the 28th but my DD is taken on the 11th, so I log in around the 17th just to check the balance (the usual waiting for the DD to re-emerge from the ether). I just do a quick check, I sometimes use the app but I prefer a larger screen whenever I can.
I did the Mike Thorn thing, I had the video chat and never heard anything after that.
Sorry....bit late to the party here, but what is the point of a 'digital' bill when both gas and electricity are analogue? As are the humans who use the energy.
I'm sorry to be pedantic, but in my years of doing my corporate accounts and dealing with both payables and receivables, a 'digital' bill is something used internally to the accounting systems, not something that's actually necessarily human-readable. Can we just be a little more careful with terminology and snappy sounding 'buzz-words' when they aren't technically accurate? I'm all for blue sky thinking, shifting the paradigm and pushing the edge of the envelope where appropriate but, unless it's a clickable link to be able to import raw data to a spreadsheet or accounting package, it ain't a 'digital bill'!
Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.
