i think it was fixed for twelve months like the new one but it also says no exit fees
Unfortunately the "rules" say you that if you're on a fixed tariff you can't change tariff until 45 days before your current tariff is due for renewal (understandably, as it's a fixed term).
The "no exit fees" kind of contradicts this, but I guess that's if you want to switch suppliers.
There are suggestions of switching out of drive v1 to flex then switching back into drive v2. However there's another thread going where this doesn't seem to be possible/working.
Having read horror stories of dealing with EOn's customer services; getting charged transfer fees etc etc. I think I'll live with the official route and look to change in June.
@geoffers
45 days before might put it as mid May !
Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless.

It all sounds a bit iffy to me. Fixed tariffs mean you are liable to exit fees (if they apply) if you switch before the 45 days at the end. I have just switched from a fixed tariff that was due to end in June. Exit fees applied only if I switched supplier so I switched to a cheaper Eon Next tariff without penalty.
The advertising blurb for your tariff says No Exit Fees. I would be challenging this.
I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit.

There's been another thread this evening where the OP has been told not eligible to swap from Drive V1 to V2. Has there been changes to eligibility that's not obvious. My simple brain says clarification is required.

What I do notice is that if I look at the tariff search page for my postcode the Next Drive Fixed v2 tariff says, 'This tariff is only available to eligible customers'. Mind you, it says the same for the other Next Drive tariffs too. What the eligibility is, I don't know. It says the same on my new tariff which, for some reason, I was eligible for whilst others weren't. Beats me.
..tariff says, 'This tariff is only available to eligible customers'. ... What the eligibility is, I don't know. ...
Eligibility states ownership of EV; battery size > ??kWh etc etc, but I think this is more to frighten people off, as they didn't physically check it on joining.
I guess that they would quickly spot that you weren't charging a vehicle overnight if they wanted to enforce it

Precisely Joe. This eligibility thing really needs clarification particularly with the Drive tariff, in fact all tariffs. I did find somewhere that location has a bearing on eligibility. It would just be nice if you are turned down to know why and not just you are not eligible. Hey ho 👴.
