Is anything booked as of yet? I would recommend customer services getting this booked but potentially checking with our Field Services department. None of us on the community team are in a qualified position to confirm if that meter is at the end of life or not, we would follow the advice as per the letter and book accordingly.
Part of me would book the visit and check with the engineer before any work takes place, that's if you can't gain clarity before hand. When the appointment is booked, all of the details will be sent over to the Field Team for them to view and make sure the correct equipment is available and that we send an Engineer with the required qualifications etc.

Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.
Hi,
You are not alone I also have a 3 phase domestic supply with a non-smart economy 10 meter set up. Also in the East.
They are wanting to replace the meter due to the RTS signal stopping in 2025 which handles the switch times from BBC radio.
I, like you, want to keep the same hours, at least close to currently, as heaters work really well just as they are.
Can they force me to have a meter that does not do what the meter I have now does?
Bit worried - will be putting off the switch as long as possible as I know it'll get messed up as soon as they touch it.
Usually when the meter people come for anything they look faint as soon as they look at my meters.
I had the 3rd phase energised a few years back for a new building and that has an economy 7 meter on it, also non-smart - took them 3 goes to get that right.
That's with a different supplier.
The original 2 phases are used for my main property and have the older Economy 10 set up - I also have a generator failover solution plumbed in which makes the wiring even more frightening I suspect.
All works a treat - no doubt that won't last as soon as they touch it.
