Impressive if you want to remotely control appliances, but I found you only need to monitor consumption for a relatively short period and then remove the measuring device. For that you only need one device. And if @JoeSoap is to be believed (which I do!), his technical abilities would not permit him to gain anything from your suggestion.
But others will doubtless be enthused.
Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless.
I can recommend the TP-link Tapo P110 smart plugs - I'm using several to schedule & remotely control various appliances, and as well as very comprehensive scheduling capabilities they also have very detailed daily/monthly/annual energy monitoring functionality.
I've also added a smart immersion-heater switch in line with the i-h, which means I can schedule this to run for ¼hr on my cheap-rate EV charging tariff
This gives enough warm water to last all day, for comfortable washing usage etc for about 7p (works out much cheaper than the equivalent gas usage)

I've got to admit I originally purchased them for security reasons. It was awhile ago and were on special offer. I have used them for monitoring usage when considering replacing appliances and found them very useful.
@WizzyWigg yeah - much better than those clockwork thingys with pins to set timing of (security) lights etc when you're on holiday.
Useful for controlling TV/hifi etc from one point so you don't need to leave several devices on standby (I even turned them off remotely whilst on holiday from Norway last year, when I remembered I'd forgotten & left everything on standby)

... I wouldn't be surprised if your 20 year old freezer is one of the culprits. 😉
That fridge may be consuming too much and I'll investigate. I'm probably using nearly 3 times as much as you overnight but with two fridges, two freezers, three (non-solar) outside lights and a few rooms of AV on standby, I would expect to use double in any case.
I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit.
we hear a lot about smart appliances these days but I suspect few have inbuilt energy consumption displays which would help with kitchen utility room energy queries.
the DD amount is factored on forecast consumption and forecast prices and it’s practically always going to be wrong, either too little or too much. As long as it’s balanced with roughly equal possibilities of being over or under then that, to me at least, is fair enough. But evidence suggests that suppliers hold too much customer money across the sector, and that isn’t right.
your solution seems entirely sensible to me.
They certainly hold enough of my money but clearly not enough in their eyes or they wouldn't have raised my DD.
