Hi how do i get cheaper rate electric during non peak times?

You would need a dual rate tariff like Economy 7. Recommend you contact customer service through one of the means listed in Contact Us in the purple section at the bottom of these pages to discuss your options.

I have sent an email but not received a reply yet:

'Hi a couple of queries:


1. My IHD does not match up my bill so i'm unable to see what my monthly TOTAL cost is going to be. Also my bill seem to be broken down into bi weekly when i pay by DD monthly.


2. I have a hot tub and i would like to go onto Economy 7 so i can heat it during off peak times - i'm also looking at an electric car so it would be good for this too.

I'm really sorry you haven't had a reply yet - how long ago did you message?

Thanks to @JoeSoap for suggesting it! We would suggest an ECO7 meter too!

Just to answer a few of your Q's and get you thinking 🧠 - what we would have to do is exchange the meter you currently have, and swap it for an Economy 7 meter. This will be £157.86 and you'll have to pay this before we do the job 😁. Once we do this, you'll be able to have a separate day and night rate - perfect for your potential electric car and your hot tub! ♨

In terms of your IHD, you would have to reset it and our Energy Specialists will have to send off a tariff update to refresh things for you 🙂.
