Just thought I'd dig this old thread up to report that everything continues to work as it should after two months so my confidence is high right now. Unfortunately the usage gap in the Eon Next and Bright apps is still there and I have now given up any hope of the data being restored. Can't win 'em all.
@JoeSoap Can I ask when all this was going on did your IHD still work?
I've had to read through the timeline here to refresh my memory a bit. As far as I recall, the IHD worked all the way through the loss of comms, but with incorrect tariff rates. Once comms was restored, I requested another tariff update and it was finally successful.

@JoeSoap - just a thought: when you say Eon and Bright apps have the gap... Have you done a full data download from glowmarkt.com as well?
Don't how the apps access the data - maybe they build a temporary database day by day or something, so when you comms weren't working there's a gap there.
However my understanding of the SMETS spec says the meter should store 13 months worth of readings, so maybe the full data download pulls the whole lot in one go - just a thought 🤔
5.4.8.4 Consumption data
ESME shall be capable of recording to:
i. the Cumulative and Historical Value Store(5.6.4.11) in kWh:
a. Consumption on the Day up to the Local Time;
b. Consumption on each of the eight Days prior to such Day;
c. Consumption in the Week in which the calculation is performed;
d. Consumption in each of the five Weeks prior to such Week;
e. Consumption in the month in which the calculation is performed; and
f. Consumption in the thirteen months prior to such month.
I had heard of the 13 month storage thing and for a while expected the missing data to show up in the apps. It doesn’t bother me too much so I’m not inclined to download the full data. As well as Bright I use the IHD to get quick usage data and ultimately the statements. The gaps will work their way out soon enough. Thanks for the suggestion though 👍
Maybe I can give folks a little ray of hope as a post-script to this sorry saga. I switched tariffs again yesterday afternoon and this morning I can see that my IHD has already updated with my new rates and I didn't even need to ask.
Mind you, just to bring things back down again, I fell foul of the latest issue and was incorrectly charged £150 exit fees. I'm confident that they will be refunded to my credit balance in a few days time but in the meantime I reckon it will affect where my new monthly DD gets set.
