Was previously supplied gas and electric by e.on next on a good tariff which I fixed for 2 years in Feb 2022, and advised eon and SP that I wanted to switch.
Received email from SP on 23/03 - sorry to see me go etc and that readings will be taken from smartmeter and final bill would be generated, and that I could track the switch on their website and app (which I can't).
I had an email from eon on 24/03 saying that "your switch is officially complete" and you're now an eon customer.
"We haven't had your opening metering reading(s) yet. We use this to set up your account and send it to your old supplier to close your account with them. In our experience, it can take a long time to get your final bill (around 8 weeks or even longer) and we know how frustrating this is. To help speed this up and make sure we start your new account accurately, please send us your meter reading as soon as possible"
I sent eon a meter reading for electricity on 24/03, but there was nothing showing on the account for gas and that is still the case now.
As of today I'm still being billed by Scottish Power for both gas and electric (latest smartmeter readings taken today).
Eon have sent me an email today asking me to arrange to have electricity smart meter installed, but again no mention of gas.
Want to speak to someone to find out what's happening but I work 8-5 so that's not possible.
Any suggestions ?
