I'm hoping I can get help here as having no response from E-On customer services WhatsApp.
Gas meter is not sending readings to E-On and hasn't for over a year, I've spoken to customer services multiple times, I am passed around departments and the problem not resolved. I can no longer read the digital display on the meter (IHD has never worked).
Very worried that I cannot track my gas usage and have no way to know what E-On should be charging me. Only positive is I do at least still have a gas supply!
Any advice on how to get this fixed would be greatly appreciated.
If your gas meter display is blank and you can't wake it up by pressing buttons then it may be that the battery is dead. This is probably aside from the IHD issue. I will tag our volunteer smart meter expert @theunknowntech who may be able to advise better.
I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit.

I'll tag @theunknowntech to have a look at the photos and description of what the lights are doing. You could post a photo of the IHD if you like but if it's never worked then there is a thread here that deals with replacements.
Can you get anything on the display at all by pressing any buttons? If not then I suspect the internal battery is dead and needs replacing. In which case I suggest dropping an email to hi@eonnext.com with your account and meter details and request an engineer visit to replace it
