Your IHD is showing the combined cost of gas and electric. As you have said that the IHD is not showing gas usage then this amount must be electric only. I thought the issue was gas consumption.
What tariff rate is showing on your IHD and does it match that showing on your account?
Does your IHD show live consumption? If so, you could switch off your fridge/freezer for a while and leave the doors shut to see if the live usage drops considerably. Just wondering if the fridge or freezer compressor is on all the time.
I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit.
That's showing gas and electric combined isn't it? Therefore it will include both standing charges for today as well as any electricity you've used. Your combined standing charges should be around 75 - 80p give or take, so that would mean you've used about £1.50 of energy since midnight.
For electricity, use the 'live usage' display and see what your core (bare minimum, ie no compressor running) usage is in watts. Do the same for when the fridge/freezer kicks in. Then how often does the fridge/freezer kick in for over a couple of hours and for how long. From this you'll have a rough idea of how many kWh (or fractions of) you're likely to use between let's say, midnight and 5am. Multiply by your tariff and add the SC and it should be close to what you're IHD is showing.

Before my meters started playing up my morning readings at this time would normally be between 70p and 89p every morning.
but since they started playing up they have shown all sorts of prices (see my previous photos).

I'm not disputing that but trying to throw in some ideas, questions and suggestions. You have used about £1.50 in electric in five hours when only your FF was on so that's 30p/hr. I'm trying to work out if your FF might have a faulty thermostat or a poor door seal or something.

my average gas/electric usage between midnight and 6am has always bee between 60p and at max 98p which included standing charges and electric/gas i used between toughs hours.
Sat here thinking about this and looking back through my account. This happened before when the clocks went forward and now again when clocks went back.
I am just looking at this as a possible programming problem?
I've just realised why they don't charge for installing a smart meter - its because charging would give you rights under consumer law to get the things fixed when they go wrong!
I wonder though, if its been made a contract condition of you tariff to have one, whether that would give a customer the right to sue for damages when the promises are not lived up to.
Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless.

Ah, but we are ALL being charged for the rollout of smart metering as part of our Standing Charges, whether we have the buggers or not. Or want one or not. Class action, anyone?
It does usually say on the meter 'Property of...' whoever the supplier is, so even if you do have one on the premises, it ain't actually yours. Nor is it technically your responsibility. You are responsible for, and own, everything from the meter forward. The DNO is responsible for everything from the meter back.

Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.
