Despite several attempts to get EON to help, I’m getting no where!
my IHD is showing my gas is disconnected and no reading, I have been told in the past that is due to the network and there is nothing that can be done.
I am not really prepared to accept that answer as the point of the smart meter is to help me save money and that’s not going to be possible if it doesn’t work.

anyone have any ideas how to fix?
If you can post photos of your meter(s) and comms hub too and also describe accurately what the lights are showing on the comms hub (exactly what rate they flash at, if any) then by me tagging @theunknowntech here you may get some good advice.
I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit.
It's probably a fault with the IHD (those SmartView 2 IHDs are terrible!), but I need more photos to confirm.

Hi both @JoeSoap and @theunknowntech, thanks for your support! Attached are photos of the meters, the comms hub appears to be attached to the electric meter at the top. All the lights flash green together around every 6 seconds.
Sounds like your Comms Hub is using its own Cellular WAN Connection back to the Telefonica WAN to support other meters in the area via Mesh functionality. I wouldn't be keen to recommend anything too harsh in this situation, because I don't want to risk disruption to other sites.
The most likely culprit to me, still sounds like a dodgy IHD because those SmartView 2's are just full of problems. It's not really worth my time diagnosing those because:
It's impossible!
They just break again as soon as I fix them - literally!
I'm part of the reason that E.On created that partnership with Chameleon! And I've been lobbying for my guides to be used instead of the previous response of telling people to buy IHDs off of Amazon or eBay (where you'll often get scammed!).
The next step in my genius plan, is to lobby E.On to dump the IHDL SmartView 2 completely and switch vendor to either Chameleon, Geo or Hildebrand. It takes time to do that, but my influence here makes it a bit easier.
