I sometimes scroll through the recent posts to see if any cries for help have gone unanswered. I have noticed that at the bottom of the community home page there is a section called Questions to Answer.
I don’t know if this is a new thing but, as a bit of an insomniac, I have had a go at answering some old queries. I thought there was only a few to deal with but as I answered one, another appeared.
Many are about smart meters so inevitably I’m afraid I’m tagging @theunknowntech a lot. I hope that’s ok.
I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit.
Perhaps you could have a cut-off of maybe one month. There are some appearing which are six months old and a reply would be fruitless. If not answered they will sit there and fester.

I'm seeing ones that are over a year old, I agree with you @JoeSoap that a month is about right for a cut off. Anything older than that doesn't give a good impression.
You’re right. I didn’t even look at the year. I just assumed they were this year. Nearly 18 months old. Scared to reply as the two year old ones will show next.
Let’s hope they can be removed or an acknowledgement will be required in case they are obscuring more recent posts.
I understand where you are coming from, I get it!
Although it may seem pointless to answer our old questions.. it sure does have a point! One of our aims of the Community is to help people, and an answer to an old question could help people in the future.
For example, someone could have asked how to get a new electric key months ago (pointless for the OG poster, as they would have already had one sorted) but someone today could come to our Community to find that out today and can find the answer quickly in a post that has been answered. 🔑
Perhaps a short stock answer, acknowledging that this old post has been overlooked and asking whether it can be closed, as surely the answer has been obtained elsewhere?
The problem is that the replies clog up the latest activity listings so that current contributors issues get shunted down the list - possibly adding more non answered threads to the list we want to eradicate!!
Perhaps changing the criteria for the unanswered question bit to those in the last 6weeks might be a better idea? @Han_EONNext
Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless.
