I have been with EON for a few years but my old Npower smart meter is still not connecting to the IHD or to EON for meter readings - could you please get this fixed ASAP? I've attached some pictures of the electric meter , IHD and the comms box has a red HAN light on it flashing gas meter is the same problem Thanks Peter

I'm really sorry, but there's nothing I can recommend at this time. There's currently a serious bug with Trilliant Comms Hubs that's knocking out tons of stuff.
It appears that the WAN is dead on your site - this is a tricky fault to recover from, but let's see if https://smartmetercheck.citizensadvice.org.uk/ can tell you anything useful. It'll help me figure out where to send you next.Just another guy passing by... The unknown tech way...

@theunknowntech thanks a lot for your help on this and the smartmeterchecker comes back with meter not found using my supply number. However I just submitted some new manual meter readings and I noticed that up until 21/05/2021 the smart meters were actually providing meter readings automatically - so I need to correct what I said it looks like the Npower meters were hooked up to EON and working at that point last year . I guess that was in the good old days before I started paying close attention to what was going on with this !!! I also double checked the Trilliant hub and it has an off WAN light, a flashing red HAN and steady Green Power. If it is this Triliant bug then would that be remote fix by EON or require a site visit ? regards Peter

Well... DCC can try to fix this but no promises. You'll need to flag this with customer service and tell them about this thread.

Finally got through to metering team they said meters stopped working when we got transitioned from EON to EONnext - I thought this was just rebranding but obviously not. They have said the fault is with DCC now and in their huge backlog which could take to 2025 to clear ! Doesn't sound like its going to fixed anytime soon so looks like we will just have to live with no smart meters through this energy crisis I'm sure lots of other customers in the same boat from all the threads flying around on this forum.

@peterbu I am just looking at threads to see if I can be of any support and I came across yours, I am really sorry that the transition from Npower wasn't as smooth as we were hoping.
Is there anything I can do to help? Did you manage to get this sorted? Would you like to give us some constructive feedback that we can use to bring back to the smart metering team ? -
@Bennie_EONNext no I am still waiting for a fix to the problem and I have not heard from the metering team since last year. If there is anything you can do to speed things along it would be appreciated. Its crazy I have all the smart meter equipment installed it was working fine until May 2021 then just stopped, and could take to 2025 to get it working again right in the middle of this cost of living energy crisis when I really need it !
