My smart meter has stopped sending electricity readings, which has resulted in eon resorting to using estimates to calculate my bill. The algorithm they use seems heavily loaded in their favour when there has been a price rise.
I can see no evidence that gas readings have ever been sent.
I have reported this three times over a period of four months and received nothing but friendly sympathy and empty promises. On the first occasion the call handler told me that it was her last day, but she'd do her best. The latest attempt, via email, brought an acknowledgement and a promise to hand it to the metering team, with the postscript "I hope I have been able to assist you today". I have heard nothing more; I wonder why she thought this has helped.
I think that my only recourse may be to stop paying until I get decent service. Any tips?
