Allegedly all migration should be completed by 31/12/22 but was supposed to be done by the end of last year. Possibly the deadline will slip again. Likewise any meters that can't be migrated were supposed to have been replaced by the end of this year. Yeah, right!
That has been extended, as of this October, to 2023.
Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.
So complicated isn't it, I'll look at the App thank you.
Do you know when they'll be migratiing by any chance please?
Cheers x
I posted yesterday that 15% of smart meters were dumb, and the numbers of those has not changed that much for many quarters - fluctuations yes but major reductions no.
this is the document. Page 9 has the link to the spreadsheets with the facts.
There are no performance standards binding on Suppliers to ensure that meters are operational within a reasonable time of reported failure. Therefore, the suppliers do not do all they could to get meters functioning. The public are sold a lie when they take a smart meter, and nobody cares.
The DCC trumpets on its website about 90+% of meters registering with the DCC within 15 minutes of installation yet they don't work properly for 6-8 weeks and some never do.
Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless.
I was reading their report into 'sunsetting' of 2g and 3g phone networks too...and DCC banging on about this not happening until 2032 so they don't need to panic just yet.
Not so...Vodafone and EE have already begun switch off and they want to be finished within 18 months. In fact, they are all racing each other to have it done by next December.
Sorry, that lot have got their heads so far up their arrises, they haven't got a clue what's happening in the real world.
I'd be willing to bet that for every meter they do manage to migrate onto their networks, two or more are vanishing again.
If you're having setup issues, you need to contact ivie support. I'm afraid I can't help you with that. Sorry
Just another guy passing by... The unknown tech way...
