@ClaireD I have the same problem and been with Eon for years but think maybe the system has forgotten to put the BACS date as 28th February but who knows. I have tried to ring but after 20 mins wait gave up the ghost and have emailed 2 days ago but no reply, just glad I am not the only one.
Hello….exactly the same has happened to me this month too. I tried to ring about another matter on Thursday waited over half and hour then gave up so I emailed, the response didn’t answer my query I mailed again, the response completely ignored what I stated and gave me an answer that didn’t make sense. I’m not sure if it was an actual person or a bot now. I’ve never had this problem before they always had really good customer service, I ll try again Monday but it’s not good enough.
Hopefully they ll sort it very soon.
@ClaireD I am the same. My direct debit comes oit on the 1st of every month but it didn't come out on 1st March. I have messaged them on facebook. It is the start of my new tarriff this month so was worried there was a problem but my online account says direct debit is set up for 1st of each month. However I am £200 in credit so I thought they maybe thought not to take the payment this month (this happened to me a couple years ago with NPower?)
i sent them via a messenger message and got a reply back this morning….
they had an issue with ‘DD’s not coming out’??
that I can either make a manual payment or they can raise a manual DD which will take 5 days
i did ask what would have happened if I hadn’t gotten in touch? Would they have cancelled my contract and out me onto a new much higher cost plan? Still waiting for a reply from that!
Would like to know whether to do a manual payment as well please. Mine was also due on 1st March but as I changed plans on that date thought it might have been to do with that, obviously not so. Usually it's the supplier chasing the customer about money not the other way around!
I had already asked them to take a manual payment via dd, haven’t heard anything back yet, if I don’t hear by Monday I’ll get back in touch and will pay it manually then….just don’t get why they didn’t seem to do anything about this?
