Hi, I received my first bill the other day and went for direct debit every 1st of the month however it hasnt gone through. it says on my bill that my payments are up to date due to the direct debit but no money has been taken from my account. Now i'm debating whether to pay this off once payment but will I be paying double once the direct debit is sorted out? I've tried reaching via messenger and DM's on twitter as well as phone call with no luck!
Uh oh, this isn't the first time today someone mentioned this. I'll ask @PeterT_EONNext if he knows of any known issues but it should have come through by now.

I’ve replied to a similar thread on this as exactly the same has happened to me. It seems very difficult to get answers either by phone….too long a wait and the emails I’ve had in response to my query don’t answer my questions and ignored my comments, the last reply said all smart meter queries are automated …really strange. It does need to be sorted and fast.
I have also replied to a similar thread. The same has happened to me this month. I have messaged them on facebook messenger to find out what has happened. This did happen to me a few years ago when I was with NPower and because I was in alot of credit they didn't take my monthly payment that month so I wonder if this is the same? I am £200 in credit just now.
I m not able to get through to them I ve tried to ring but the wait was over 40minutes. Emailed and the replies made no sense and didn’t answer my questions, facebooked .. still waiting for a reply. They used to have great customer service but I don’t know what’s happened and I’m getting fed up with the Covid excuses. My bank has confirmed the direct debit is live they just haven’t asked for any money. Who knows I Kyrgyz ringing them again tomorrow. Thankyou for replying
I got a reply saying all direct debits weren't taken on the 1st and to make a one off payment, that was on facebook messenger. I also emailed them then 5 days later got a reply saying they have put through a manual payment on the 16th and the direct debit is set up for the 1st April.
