I’ve had my account moved 2/3 times I’m happy with eon but I’m not happy with previous one like Shell saying I owe them £350 I was only with them for days and the meter reading is way over I’m disabled I just want a meter reading done correctly I can’t read my meter I don’t know what else I can do any suggestions
Can you tell us what sort of meter you have and whether you have dual fuel.
If you can contact Eon Next customer serivces they can put you on their priority serivice which ensures somebody comes to take your readings. Can @PeterT_EONNext advise further?
@TinashineAre your meters modern smart meters or the older non smart sort.
In theory the latest type of smart meter should solve your issues because the readings are sent automatically to your supplier with not input from you. Some earlier (type1) smart meters lose connection when your supplier changes, and you would not want the additional complications that would bring. I'd suggest contacting customer services and requesting:
(1) That you go on the priority services register with particular emphasis on getting your current meters read, and
(2) Request that you be supplied with the latest Smart meters, both Electric and Gas.
@PeterT_EONNext - would you like to contribute please.
Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and think the smart meter programme is a waste of our money. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless.
Hi @Tinashine I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble with your meter readings.
You're not actually supplied by E.ON Next and haven't been since switching in September. Have you contacted your current supplier about this at all so that they can assist you further with this?
Pete 😊
