Glad that’s sorted. Meters take some time to be duly enrolled by the DCC and controllable by your supplier. Gas meters communicate ever 30 minutes I think, electricity meters more frequently. You can check the status of you installation via the citizens advice smart meter checking tool. But I really am not an expert - I wish they’d never been inflicted on the population.
Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless.
I have looked at this page of instructions on reading meters and none of them relate to my meter (main meter not IHD).
I don’t have solar panels either.
When I look at the various menus on the main meter I cannot see a menu that shows Day or Night, Low or Normal, Rate 1 or Rate 2, A1 or A2, R1 or R2. I get menus on Messages, Billing, Security and Info. Within those are more menus but no clear route to get to the actual readings.
Meanwhile the IHD, which has functioned fine for several months, has now stopped working showing no energy usage since yesterday morning and the old tariff rates.

Thank you.
Yes, we were muddling along just fine with our old meter, but because of the fixed rate tariff we were previously on, we had to agree to have a smart meter fitted.
If you have the same smart meter as I do, the EDMI ES-12B, the following instructions should work. I followed them and was able to find the R1, R2 and so on.
If you're a 2 rate customer, follow these steps;
Hold OK until it enters the ‘Main Menu’, you will see ‘Billing’ appear
Hold OK to enter the ‘Billing’ sub-menu
Using the arrows, scroll to ‘Advanced’ (2 pushes of the > button)
Hold OK to enter the ‘Advanced’ sub-menu, you will see ‘TOUmtrx’ appear
Hold OK to enter the ‘TOUmatrx’ sub-menu, you will see ‘RATE1’ appear
Use the arrows to cycle the rates you need to submit (Rate 1, Rate 2, …)
Thank you so much!!! I could have spent weeks lost in the labyrinth of menus.
I'm so pleased that you were able to get this sorted by popping onto the Community! Thank you @Batch0x0 We've made sure we make this a little bit clearer How to read your EON Next smart meter guide 😀
