Just want some clarification as I can't get through via the telephone to eon.
So I will now be paying £100 per month via direct debit as we have the £66 discounted as part of the energy pan help from the government. So monthly payment of £166 total.
My question is will my account be credited with just the £100 that I am paying each month or as I see it it should be credited with £166 as I have put £100 and the government has given me £66 so this should show on my account.
Hi I have exactly the same question my direct debit reduced from 400 to 333 ! So I see no benefit as my bill is going to only be reduced by the 333 ! It says Also advise to carry on paying 400 a month ! So where’s the rebate in all this
I thought would get the credit applied to my account alongside my normal payment
This says direct debit customers will receive a deduction in their direct debit . It’s not a rebate if just reducing the direct debit as we are just paying less on a higher bill

The £67 will be added to your energy account, so in your case you par £333 and the Government chips in the £67 so you energy account still gets £400 per month for 6 months.
Oh ok thank you I haven’t had that in yet maybe next week ? Was confused as reducing the direct debit doesn’t give me any rebate as bill would be the same yet I would be paying less
My understanding @Janed is that the £67 is applied on your normal direct debit date but considering the pickle that eon-next seem to be in with updating accounts, I wouldn't be surprised if it takes a week or two to sort out.
My DD is normally paid on the 1st so I'll know tomorrow, assuming I can log in to eon-next that is.
@Andy65
if your DD is collected from your bank account on the first, the data was submitted through BACS a day or so earlier. Which account would you check for confirmation, E.On or your bank?
Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless.

The situation regarding getting the correct unit rates has been a complete disaster on the part of E.on Next. They had days and days to get their figures correct and I cannot believe that such a large organisation could allow such a mess to happen. The directors should be ashamed

My DD is less than £67 😀 so I know from looking at my bank account that no payment is being taken, the difference should appear in my bank tomorrow but I think credits don't normally show as pending payments so I'm seeing nothing yet. If I don't receive the difference in my payment to my bank account tomorrow then in my mind they aren't processing it as they said they would.
I'm more interested in when the Government credit appears in my eon-next account, normally on the 1st it'll say 'a payment of £x hasn't been applied yet' and it only appears in my balance 5 or 6 days later.
Assuming I can log in tomorrow, I would expect to see the message 'a payment of £x hasn't been applied yet' for the Government payment, but who knows!
