Why is it so difficult to find out your Tariff details

    This is a first post from a frustrated Eon Next customer who is aware of the material change about to hit the Energy market. However, why is it so hard to locate the ground rules that governs my Tariff? I am on Next Flex and see on my bills the price charged for electricity and gas per kWh. But I can’t see if I have a contract, so I presume I am free to move or change to another supplier if that opportunity ever arises again. Nothing confirms any review or end date and I don’t know if paying by direct debit gives any discount as there is no “contract” to read. The monthly direct debit cannot be changed downwards by more than 10% even after todays announcement and there is no guidance on what will happen if I cancel it because I know my credit balance is already more than is needed to cover the winter months.
    More information really should be accessible than the online “help” that is available.

    Hi @FinanceJon Anasa here 👋 I'm sorry that you've had some trouble locating some information.

    Good news is that you are free to change supplier or tariff at any time there are no cancellation fees. If you pay by Direct Debit there is a discount and this is already included in the price of the tariffs when you generate a new quote.

    Online your Direct Debit can only be reduced by 10% if you need it to be reduced by more than this you'll have to get in touch with one of our Energy Specialist 🔥💡

    If you're on the Next Flex tariff you can choose to cancel your Direct Debit if that's what you want but you will lose the Direct Debit discount. The only Tariffs we have that its a requirement to have a Direct Debit is the ONLINE tariffs.
