My name is Shelley and I've been working on some designs around the 'Digital Bill' functionality within your account page (This is not the same as downloading a PDF/copy of your paper statement, it shows a more summarised version).
I heard that the Community was a great place to get any feedback positives/ negatives about the tool, or any improvements you would like to see? NOTE: This functionality has not been rolled out to everyone yet so you may not have seen it BUT it has been rolled out to 40k so far so I'm hoping a few of you will have seen it!
Any feedback is appreciated!
The link from your account is shown in the image below (Digital Bill) :
It's not available on my account yet but what information would I get if I clicked on the down arrow next to the £134.57 and £84.87?
Would it show the meter readings for that billing period and the breakdown of charges such as SC?
I like the layout/presentation from what I can see but as someone who always downloads their bills I don't think it would be an added benefit to me. Is this aimed at customers who have paperless billing but don't download their bills? If so, I'd be curious to know roughly what percentage of customers on paperless billing don't download bills.
I too download and save the pdf statement as soon as it released so the alternative presented adds nothing extra to my account. All I ever really do is check the statement for matching meter reads and the gas CV value. Of course I also check the actual amount and reconcile everything to my own energy spreadsheet. For those that do not keep detailed records perhaps this additional presentation may be useful.
Morning @Shelley_EON Next Downloading the pdf bill is my preference as well. It has all the relevant information: meter readings, EAU, EAC, ADU, CV, etc. Combined with my spreadsheet enables accurate monitoring. The digital billing wouldn't really add anything as it is to what is already available. 😞
Hi @Shelley_EON Next
I check the pdf statement against my own figures.
Like others here, the digital summary adds little, if anything, to the system I use.
So have you guys actually got this on your account? I don't have it yet.
@Shelley_EON Next I don't see any harm in it as it's a bit more at-a-glance info that may suffice for the many that probably don't pay much attention to the detailed bill until they suddenly realise something has gone way wrong. Like the others have said above, I always view my pdf statement in any case.
Nice to see @Beki making an appearance. I wonder what she said in the 5 second clip 🤔😂
I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit.

No digital billing, but truthfully out of habit I will continue with pdf 👴. As you say it probably won't harm having it, but sorry not for me. If it showed live usage and costing figures that would be ideal for those with failing or defunct IHDs.
I haven't got the digital billing on my account yet either, but I agree with the others, that digital billing wouldn't add anything, and wouldn't be of any benefit to me.
