My weekly energy usage according to my smart meter is around £15, but my monthly bills are approaching £170. I know January felt like 10 weeks, but this is miles out.
Why is there such a discrepancy, and can it be fixed? If not, it really is pointless to get a smart meter installed if they can't tell you your actual usage particularly when it's that far out.
I read on another thread about a bot that can reset the tariff on the smart meter. Surely this should be done as a matter of course when rates/tariffs change?
If you are satisfied your statements are correct and your smart meter tariffs are incorrect you can contact customer service to ask for a smart meter/IHD tariff update. Sometimes it happens automatically but in my experience you normally need to request it. Contact details can be found in the purple section at the bottom of this page.
