I thought Landing and Gyr are supposed to be upgraded to SMETS2 but, even if they're still SMETS1 I should be able to have an IHD.
Bought a house no IHD left

Hello, I've bought a house and I have Landis and Gyr E470 and G470 smart meters but there is no IHD in the property. What are my options? EON says they can't give me one because the smart meters are too old. Is that true?

@viciovb in the smart meter section there’s a post on this. You can buy one , but don’t buy a second hand one because they will be paired already to another meter set.Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless.

@meldrewreborn now the question is: once I receive the IHD from Hildebrand, how do I pair it with my smart meters?

@viciovb
Beyond my competence I’m afraid, but my expectation would be that full instructions would be in the box. -
@viciovb
You could try downloading the Hildebrand Bright App first. It’s free and you can see your usage in kWh and cost for both fuels down to half-hourly intervals (as long as your meters are set to half-hourly in your online account) going back over a year. They ask for an ID number off the IHD but I think there’s an alternative way in by submitting a recent bill. It may or may not work but always worth a try.I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit. -
@JoeSoap
Best to run the Citizens Advice smart checker First...no DCC connectivity, no working app.

Unless you invest the extra money in the GlowStick.Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons. -
@JoeSoap yeah I've seen it. I need to wait to receive my first bill to do so.
