Your rates are probably correct - I think the curse of rates shown without VAT and with VAT has shown its hand again. The VAT rate is 5% on energy.
Current Eon Next and EDF customer, ex Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless.
@Lmfoo1 Is this a price increase that you have noticed since the 1st of October 2022? Despite the government grants, the Price Cap was still put in place. I also agree the what @meldrewreborn has been saying.
I signed up for next 2 Yr v18 fixed rate in March this year.
my rates were day 32.55, night 17.02 and standing charge 49.24
Since the 1 oct change my day rate has increased to 34.18 and standing charge to 51.70.
I need my rates put back to what the should be and any over charge resolved.
WhatsApp message to try and resolve, no reply. Hy emailed, no reply
Have now been on the phone half the day trying to resolve this.
Any suggestions as how to sort this out.

As @meldrewreborn has correctly pointed out, the two sets of prices you have are shown without VAT and with VAT respectively.
32.55p, plus VAT at 5% does indeed come out at 34.18p. Likewise, the SC of 49.24p, plus VAT at 5% comes to 51.7p
Your rates are correct. You haven't been overcharged and aren't due any correction.
I also agree with @meldrewreborn that the with/without VAT malarkey is a little confusing. As domestic consumers who usually cannot do owt about the VAT, we should only ever have to worry about the bottom line, all prices Inc VAT. Quoting prices ex VAT just confuses the punters!

You fill your boots. @JoeSoap and I could flip a coin for Chancellor and Home Secretary, maybe? Not sure I'd fancy the Energy Secretary gig right at the moment, but IF I did get given the job, I'd renationalise the utilities and cancel the smart meter roll out.
my priority would be to reform the benefits system which has far too many components delivered through too many agencies. I’ve helped people claim their benefit, and formed a firm view that without a very substantial education behind you, it’s almost impossible to be sure that you’ve achieved access to everything you are entitled to. I firmly believe that it’s only a small proportion of claimants that get all they are entitled to.
unfortunately some people are not good at managing money, irrespective of the amount they have. I can’t imagine how that could be corrected.
