Davterry did you ever find a solution?
I have the same problem trying to register my 2023 Audi Q4 e-tron 40. I get a whirly wheel at step 2 and don’t even get as far as the ‘this is embarrassing’ message.
Update:
These are the things the E.ON Next team suggested to get this working:
Linked my Next Drive Smart and SEG Accounts to separate email addresses - apparently, the Connection App was trying to register my EV to my SEG Account.
Double checked that my wall charger (myenergi Zappi) was set to ‘Fast’, share location was enabled in EV (Audi Q4) and plugged in.
Uninstalled and reinstalled the Next Connect App.
Nothing worked.
However, eventually made it past step 2 by disabling the VPN client on my router.
Now stuck at step 3, so one step forward, but still not able to register my EV and test charge.
Further Update:
Had another go at registering my Audi shortly after posting my last update. Started completely from scratch (again!) and it worked! Not sure what was different this time or whether anything has changed in the background.
Have set a schedule ready for a test charge tonight.
