So I had the E.On Next App installed on my Pixel 9a (Android 15).
During a routine prompt this App requested an update, on updating it threw a cannot install error.I repeated the update again and the same error.Then I uninstalled the App completely and opened the Google App Store, searched "eon",there are several matches but chose "eon next app" to find "Our new App", version 1.12.6812 (17 April 2025).I initiated install which started but the device just froze, would not respond to touch screnn or buttons.Only solution was a hard reset (press and hold power button for >40 seconds).The device restarted OK, but I' ;m very reluctand to try install again, until I am reassured that the App is good to go.

Afternoon @GCWood The Team is aware of the problem and are working on a resolution at this moment in time. It's worth keeping an eye on your app store for an update.
I have the same issue. My Android 15 phone reported that there was an update to the E.ON Next app. When I tried to update it, the app downloaded but then failed as soon as it tries to install, with Android stating that the app cannot be installed, and inviting me to try again ke try a range of basic troubleshooting, none of which works. I have additionally tried removing my security app from the phone temporarily, and then completely removing the app and trying to install again, but it still won't install, so now I don't have the app at all. I've also tried joining the beta programme, in case there is a more up-to-date version in beta that addresses the issue, but there isn't an update available. I think this is an issue with the latest release of the E.ON Next app. Staff at E.ON - please escalate to the appropriate technical team for this to be resolved forthwith.
I am also having this issue. When it would not update it tried uninstalling and re-installing but won't install and there's no way to get the older version. I even signed up to the beta but it makes no difference.
